Four tabs, one for each kind of hazard. Everything else is optional.

SStorm

Live radar — press ▶ Play to animate the last 50 minutes, or drag the slider to scrub through frames and see which way a system is moving.
Tap anywhere on the map to jump to that spot and see its conditions.
The storm chart shows the next 24 hours. The line is storm energy coloured by risk; the blue bars are chance of rain. Hover or tap it for that hour's full detail.
Tap a day card to open its hour-by-hour breakdown, including rain totals, peak gusts and any storm windows.

AAir

The scale bar shows where the current AQI sits from Good to Hazardous.
At Detailed level you also get a 24-hour trend and a bar per pollutant — the tallest bar is what's driving the number, which is how you tell smoke from ozone.

FFlood

Rain → river at the top connects the forecast rainfall to what the river is already doing.
The flood scale marks the current level against official Action / Minor / Moderate / Major stages.
Upstream gauge is an early warning — water passes it before it reaches you.
Use the dropdown to switch between nearby gauges.

EExtreme

Winter and extreme conditions — not built yet. Until it is, a quiet reading in winter means "no thunderstorm risk", not "no hazard".

Search any place, or press ◎ Here to use your location.
Press ☆ to save the place you're viewing. Saved places appear as chips under the search bar.
In Settings → Saved Locations you can set one as home (marked ⌂) — that's what the app opens to.

Detail — Simple, Standard or Detailed. Controls how much is shown.
Experience — Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. Controls how it's explained. Beginner adds plain-language notes to things like CAPE and dew point.
These are independent: you can have lots of detail explained simply, or a little detail in technical terms.
Information Displayed — switch individual sections off entirely if you never use them.

Data refreshes on its own — alerts every few minutes, everything else every 15.
The footer shows how old the data is. If it says 45+ minutes, something isn't reaching the app; press ↻ Refresh.
Conditions in the hero are marked OBSERVED (a real nearby station) or FORECAST MODEL when no station reports.
