Four tabs, one for each kind of hazard. Everything else is optional.

SStorm

Live radar — press ▶ Play to animate the last 50 minutes, or drag the slider to scrub through frames and see which way a system is moving.
Shaded areas on the map are active alert boundaries and today's SPC outlook zones — tap one for details. Checkboxes above the map let you turn either off individually.
A colors dropdown lets you pick from 12 radar color schemes. Two more checkboxes add an optional satellite cloud layer and a "Radar vs. modeled" overlay showing which areas are real radar observation versus a computer-modeled estimate.
The storm chart shows the next 24 hours. The line is storm energy coloured by risk; the blue bars are chance of rain. Hover or tap it for that hour's full detail.
Tap a day card to open its hour-by-hour breakdown, including rain totals, peak gusts and any storm windows.
When there's something worth seeing in the Hazardous Weather Outlook, a See today's outlook button appears — tap it to jump straight there.

AAir

The Air tab's card leads with your current AQI as the headline, colour-matched to how bad it actually is.
The scale bar shows where that number sits from Good to Hazardous, with a plain-language note on what it means for you.
At Detailed level the card also includes a 24-hour trend chart and a bar per pollutant — the tallest bar is what's driving the number, which is how you tell smoke from ozone.

FFlood

The Flood tab's card leads with the river's current trend — Rising, Steady, or Falling — along with the nearest gauge reading.
A See river gauge detail button jumps straight to the full gauge picture below.
The flood scale marks the current level against official Action / Minor / Moderate / Major stages.
Upstream gauge is an early warning — water passes it before it reaches you.
Use the dropdown to switch between nearby gauges.

EExtreme

The Extreme tab's card leads with the peak winter risk level — from No Winter Hazard through Ice Storm Risk, the single most dangerous winter hazard even in small amounts.
Tracked completely separately from the storm score on the Storm tab — a "calm" reading there only means no thunderstorms, not no winter hazard.
A See the week ahead button jumps to the day-by-day snow and ice outlook below.

Any tab with an active NWS alert relevant to it shows a small red dot next to its name — tap that tab to see the full alert. With more than one alert active, each relevant tab gets its own dot.
The full alert text (what it says, when it's in effect) shows on the tab it applies to, not repeated identically on every tab.

Search any place, or press ◎ Here to use your location.
Press ☆ to save the place you're viewing. Saved places appear as chips under the search bar.
In Settings → Saved Locations you can set one as home (marked ⌂) — that's what the app opens to.

Detail — Simple, Standard or Detailed. Controls how much is shown.
Experience — Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. Controls how it's explained. Beginner adds plain-language notes to things like CAPE and dew point.
These are independent: you can have lots of detail explained simply, or a little detail in technical terms.
Information Displayed — switch individual sections off entirely if you never use them.

Data refreshes on its own — alerts every few minutes, everything else every 15.
The footer shows how old the data is. If it says 45+ minutes, something isn't reaching the app; press ↻ Refresh.
Conditions in the hero are marked OBSERVED (a real nearby station) or FORECAST MODEL when no station reports.
